Equipment

  • Small Whisk or Matcha Whisk
  • Shot Glasses or Small Cups
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Small Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Ceremonial Grade Matcha Powder sifted for smoothness
  • 2 tablespoons Warm Water not boiling, around 175°F
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh Pineapple Juice or 100% natural pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lime Juice about 1 large lime
  • 1 tablespoon Pure Honey or maple syrup to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Water unsweetened, for natural electrolytes
  • 4 small Fresh Mint Leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Sift the matcha powder through a fine-mesh strainer into a small mixing bowl to eliminate any lumps.
  • Add the warm water to the matcha powder and whisk vigorously in a W-motion until completely smooth and frothy, about 30 seconds.
  • In the same bowl, whisk in the honey or maple syrup until fully dissolved into the matcha mixture.
  • Add the fresh pineapple juice, lime juice, and coconut water to the matcha base, whisking gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness with additional honey if needed, then strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to ensure ultra-smooth consistency.
  • Pour the green tea mixture evenly into 4 shot glasses, filling each about 3/4 full.
  • Garnish each shot with a small fresh mint leaf and serve immediately for the best flavor and vibrant color.

Notes

MAKE-AHEAD:
Prepare the base mixture up to 2 hours in advance and store covered in the refrigerator. Stir gently before serving as natural separation may occur.
SCALING:
Double or triple the recipe easily for larger gatherings. For single servings, use 1/4 teaspoon matcha, 1/2 tablespoon warm water, and reduce other ingredients proportionally.
TROUBLESHOoting:
If matcha appears clumpy, ensure water temperature is not too hot (over 185°F kills delicate flavors) and always sift the powder first. For smoother texture, blend all ingredients in a small blender for 10 seconds.
STORAGE:
Best consumed fresh within 2 hours. The vibrant green color will fade naturally over time due to matcha oxidation, but flavor remains good for up to 6 hours refrigerated.
