Equipment

  • Highball Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Jigger or Measuring Cup
  • Bar Spoon
  • Fine mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Apple Juice Concentrate frozen concentrate, thawed (60ml)
  • 2 oz Ginger Ale chilled, or substitute apple cider (60ml)
  • 1 oz Fresh Cranberry Juice 100% pure, not cocktail mix (30ml)
  • 1 tsp Honey or maple syrup, adjust to taste (5ml)
  • 4-5 Ice Cubes fresh, preferably large cubes
  • 1 slice Fresh Apple Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, for garnish
  • 3-4 Fresh Cranberries for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add the thawed apple juice concentrate, ginger ale (or apple cider), fresh cranberry juice, and honey.
  • Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to properly blend the honey and chill all ingredients. The mixture should be well-combined and frothy.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a highball glass filled with fresh ice cubes. This removes any ice chips and ensures a smooth drink.
  • Garnish with a thin apple slice and 3-4 fresh cranberries. Thread the cranberries onto a cocktail pick if desired for an elegant presentation.
  • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy. Stir gently before drinking to distribute the settled ingredients.

Notes

BATCH PREPARATION:
To make multiple servings, multiply all ingredients by the number of guests and mix in a large pitcher. Add ginger ale last to preserve carbonation.
GARNISH TIPS:
For best visual appeal, cut apple slices just before serving to prevent browning. Dip apple slices in lemon juice if preparing ahead.
SWEETNESS ADJUSTMENT:
Start with 1 teaspoon of honey and adjust to taste. Pure cranberry juice can be quite tart, so sweetener helps balance the flavor profile.
STORAGE:
This drink is best served fresh. If making ahead, combine all ingredients except ginger ale and store in refrigerator for up to 4 hours. Add ginger ale just before serving.
